How to get rid of mold in the bedroom?

It is dangerous to have mold in the bedroom as it prevents good sleep and is harmful to those suffering from allergies. Spores of molds are released into the air and may cause breathing problems, sinusitis, skin problems, bloated nose, or headaches. The problems may lead to life-long allergies or even asthma. The ideal humidity level in the bedroom is around 40%.

In order to get rid of mold you should ventilate the room frequently, use air dehumidifiers and apply the Nano Coat System to critical locations (perimeter walls, ceiling, walls behind the cabinets and surrounding windows, corners).

Our special material developed using a state-of-the-art nanotechnology reduces the risk of mold formation. Active building material creates a thermo-reflective layer that reflects heat back into the room while removing excess dampness and humidity. The material prevents water vapor condensation on the surfaces. Thanks to its high porosity and breathability it ensures optimum humidity levels in the interior. Thanks to Nano Coat System the room is heated much faster. In addition, the surface of the material is antibacterial – ideal for bedrooms.

On which parts of the bedroom should the material be applied?

Apply Nano Coat System to all peripheral (facade, exterior) walls and places where thermal bridges are located, around the windows and balcony doors, behind furniture as the air flow is poor there and water condensates there much more than at other places. Do not forget about the walls behind the furniture, because the ventilation there is poor, resulting in the formation of mold.

If your walls are already infested by mold, it is important first to get rid of it and repair the wall construction, and only then apply the material.

A combination of Nano Coat System, regular ventilation and at least 10 -15 cm space between furniture and the wall can effectively prevent mold formation.

Nano Coat System consists of:

Nano PT - represents deep penetration that stabilizes the foundations. It is used for absorbent cohesive surfaces and is applied with a brush or roller.

Nano AM - it is used on all other surfaces where we can not use Nano PT. Thus, non-absorbent cohesive surfaces such as glass, iron and others. Apply with a brush or roller.

Nano TC - it is used to repair holes, cracks and small irregularities of size up to 3-4mm.

Nano Coat Homethe final layer of mass applied by a stainless comb trowel to a pre-treated, smooth surface of about 2 mm thick. After drying, grind the surface with sandpaper.

Apply in the following order:

1. Nano PT or Nano AM,

2. Nano TC, if necessary to repair the surface,

3. final layer Nano Coat Home.
