How to get rid of mold in the laundry room

Air humidity above 60% promotes mold growth and production of microorganisms. Molds release into the air spores which we then breathe in. As a result, we may suffer from various diseases. Mold can also fall on our clean linen and clothes. Therefore, it is important to maintain a pleasant climate in the laundry room with the ideal humidity levels.

In order to have a mold-free laundry room, regular ventilation is a must. Apply the Nano Coat System to critical areas (perimeter walls, ceilings, walls around windows, walls around washing machines and dryers) to decrease the likelihood of mold formation.

Our special material developed using a state-of- the-art nanotechnology reduces the risk of mold formation. The active building material creates a thermo-reflective layer that reflects heat back into the room while removing excess dampness and humidity. The material prevents water vapor condensation on the surfaces. Thanks to its high porosity and breathability it ensures optimum humidity levels in the interior. Thanks to Nano Coat System the room is heated much faster. In addition, the surface of the material is antibacterial – ideal for laundry rooms.



On which parts of the laundry room should the material be applied?

Apply Nano Coat System to all walls and the ceiling of the laundry room. Alternatively, you can apply the material to all peripheral (facade, exterior) walls and places where thermal bridges are located, around the windows and scuntion, as well as to the walls around the washing machine or dryer.If your walls are already infested by mold, it is important first to get rid of it and repair the wall construction, and only then apply the material.

Nano Coat System consists of: 

Nano PT - represents deep penetration that stabilizes the foundations. It is used for absorbent cohesive surfaces and is applied with a brush or roller.

Nano AM - it is used on all other surfaces where we can not use Nano PT. Thus, non-absorbent cohesive surfaces such as glass, iron and others. Apply with a brush or roller.

Nano TC - it is used to repair holes, cracks and small irregularities of size up to 3-4mm.

Nano Coat Homethe final layer of mass applied by a stainless comb trowel to a pre-treated, smooth surface of about 2 mm thick. After drying, grind the surface with sandpaper.

 

Apply in the following order: 

1. Nano PT or Nano AM,

2. Nano TC, if necessary to repair the surface,

3. final layer Nano Coat Home.
