How to Keep the Loft Warm and Prevent Heat Loss?

Heat may escape from the loft through the roof, through thermal bridges (corners, niches, various caps) or if one of its walls is a facade (circumferential) wall or through the reveals around the windows and balconies.

The Nano Coat System active building material helps keep the heat in the loft and prevents its escape.

This special mixture, developed with state- of-the-art nanotechnology, helps maintain a stable temperature in loft rooms. The material creates a thermal reflective layer which reflects thermal radiation back to the room while removing excessive moisture. It actively regulates the air and distributes it all over the room. Also, it eliminates the cold spots on the walls. Thanks to these features, it reduces heating time and saves energy.



Which Places Should the Material be Applied to in the Loft?

Apply the Nano Coat System behind the radiators so that it reflects the heat back to the room. Apply it also to the reveals around the windows and the entrances to the balcony because these are the places where heat escapes and water vapours condense. Apply it also to all the circumferential walls (facade, external walls), or to the places where thermal bridges are present, and to the ceiling. If the room is adjacent to a poorly heated corridor, apply the substance also to the wall adjacent to the corridor.

Nano Coat System consists of: 

Nano PT - represents deep penetration that stabilizes the foundations. It is used for absorbent cohesive surfaces and is applied with a brush or roller.

Nano AM - it is used on all other surfaces where we can not use Nano PT. Thus, non-absorbent cohesive surfaces such as glass, iron and others. Apply with a brush or roller.

Nano TC - it is used to repair holes, cracks and small irregularities of size up to 3-4mm.

Nano Coat Home the final layer of mass applied by a stainless comb trowel to a pre-treated, smooth surface of about 2 mm thick. After drying, grind the surface with sandpaper.


Apply in the following order: 

1. Nano PT or Nano AM,

2. Nano TC, if necessary to repair the surface,

3. final layer Nano Coat Home.
