How to Prevent Heat Loss in the Bathroom by Applying the Nano Coat System Active Substance

Heat loss is another problem connected to the elimination of humidity in the bathroom. This phenomenon is caused by regular ventilation combined with the position of the bathroom: if at least one of its walls is a circumferential (façade) wall or if thermal bridges or windows are present in it. Maintaining a pleasant warmth in the bathroom is important also for the elimination of the humidity. The hotter the air in the room, the more humidity it can absorb.

Start with the walls: by applying the Nano Coat System active substance, you can control several factors at once.

The Nano Coat System material was specially developed by the Helske company based on the principle of nanotechnologies. It creates a thermal reflective layer on the walls which reflects thermal radiation back
to the room. This reduces the required heating time. In addition, if you apply the building material behind the radiators or heaters, you can save even more because of the reflection of the heat. Heat usually escapes through these problematic places - the walls are heated in vain. In this way, combined with proper insulation, you can save even 35% on energy annually, with respect to heating as well as cooling.

At the same time, the Nano Coat System is an efficient form of anti-mould prevention. It is designed to permeate moisture, reducing the risk of the formation of moulds and the development of allergies. The material is warm to the touch and retains its high brightness. In this way, you can create a lasting ideal microclimate in the bathroom quite simply and at no great expense.



Which Places Should the Material be Applied to in the Bathroom?

Apply the Nano Coat System behind the radiators to reflect the heat back to the room and prevent its escape through the walls. Apply it also to the reveals around the windows and the entrances to the balcony because these are the places where heat escapes and water vapours condense, which can be prevented by the Nano Coat System. Apply it also to all the circumferential walls (façade, external walls) or to the places where thermal bridges are present. One of the advantages of the system is that it can be applied to non- absorbent surfaces as well, such as wall tiles, floor tiles, marble, glass etc. In this way, you can apply it even to the inaccessible places and corners of the room, often affected by moulds.

Nano Coat System consists of: 

Nano PT - represents deep penetration that stabilizes the foundations. It is used for absorbent cohesive surfaces and is applied with a brush or roller.

Nano AM - it is used on all other surfaces where we can not use Nano PT. Thus, non-absorbent cohesive surfaces such as glass, iron and others. Apply with a brush or roller.

Nano TC - it is used to repair holes, cracks and small irregularities of size up to 3-4mm.

Nano Coat Homethe final layer of mass applied by a stainless comb trowel to a pre-treated, smooth surface of about 2 mm thick. After drying, grind the surface with sandpaper.

Apply in the following order: 

1. Nano PT or Nano AM,

2. Nano TC, if necessary to repair the surface,

3. final layer Nano Coat Home.
