How to Prevent the Appearance of Moulds in the Corners of the Bathroom by Applying Nano Coat System

High humidity is an everyday condition in bathrooms. Unfortunately, it is accompanied by the appearance of moulds which affect our health by releasing spores into the air which cause various allergies, eczema or respiratory problems. If the room is also used for drying wet towels or laundry, the risk of the appearance of moulds is much higher, especially in the corners of the room in front of which the drying rack is placed. How to effectively prevent the appearance of moulds and avoid unpleasant situations connected to high humidity in the bathroom?

By applying the Nano Coat System, you can reduce humidity in the room by even 10%. This active substance has been developed with special technology based on nanostructures. This permeable material ensures the natural breathing of the walls and enables the passage of water vapour through the structure. At the same time, it prevents the condensation of water vapours on the surface of the walls, reducing the risk of the appearance of moulds. The system also creates a thermal reflective layer which reflects thermal radiation back to the room while removing excessive moisture. Its surface is antibacterial and it also absorbs odours.



Which Places Should the Material be Applied to in the Bathroom?

The system can be applied to all the walls of the bathroom, including the corners of the room. Apply it also to the reveals around the windows because that is the place where water vapours condense, which can be prevented with the Nano Coat System. Apply the substance also to all the circumferential walls (façade, external walls) or to the places where thermal bridges are present. One of the advantages of the system is that it can be applied to non-absorbent surfaces as well, such as wall tiles, floor tiles, marble, glass etc. In this way, you can apply it even to the inaccessible places and corners of the room, often affected by moulds.

Nano Coat System consists of: 

Nano PT - represents deep penetration that stabilizes the foundations. It is used for absorbent cohesive surfaces and is applied with a brush or roller.

Nano AM - it is used on all other surfaces where we can not use Nano PT. Thus, non-absorbent cohesive surfaces such as glass, iron and others. Apply with a brush or roller.

Nano TC - it is used to repair holes, cracks and small irregularities of size up to 3-4mm.

Nano Coat Homethe final layer of mass applied by a stainless comb trowel to a pre-treated, smooth surface of about 2 mm thick. After drying, grind the surface with sandpaper.


Apply in the following order: 

1. Nano PT or Nano AM,

2. Nano TC, if necessary to repair the surface,

3. final layer Nano Coat Home.
